Use cases for the tourism industry

Our partner Sokigo produced a digital guide for Gammplatsen in Lycksele.

We saw it as a demo, but Gammplatsen used it for visitorsand noticed that young visitors stayed longer than they did before the app was available.

So you see the real picture of the buildings through the phone, and clickable symbols on each building, as in the picture above. When you click on a symbol, you get a text about the building, and you can also choose to play a speaker text. Both the text and the speaker text are available in Swedish, English, German or Arabic.

Johanna i parken

Our summer workers Gustaf Wennerström and Viktor Åhlund developed an app where you can chat with tourist attractions. The app guided the user through sights in Skellefteå, for example Johanna i parken. You interact with the app through messages and the object in question tells its story in a light and humorous way, unlike a classic information sign.

The app uses a deep learning chatbot that can be trained individually for each object. The app is designed to be scaled up and used in different cities. We had discussions with Visit Skellefteå about how the app could be applied and scaled up.

Katla

Gustaf and Viktor also later produced a variant for the SM week in Skellefteå where they chatted with the dragon Katla.
